Benzo[g][1,2,5]thiadiazolo[3,4-b]quinoxaline-5,10-dione and Its Selenium Analogue. An Unusual Type of Quinones

Abstract The title compounds, which were prepared from 2,3-diamino-1,4-naphthoquinone, are stronger acceptors than the related naphthoquinones. The studies of the cyclic voltammogram and MO calculation revealed that upon reduction electrons are first accepted at the heterocyclic part.
