INTRODUCTION OF ULOMOIDES DERMESTOIDES (CHEVROLAT, 1878) (COLEOPTERA) TO NORTH MACEDONIA: UNVEILING THE FIRST HUMAN-INDUCED RECORD OF A NOVEL SPECIES – SHORT COMMUNICATION

This short communication presents first record of Ulomoides dermestoides (Coleoptera, Tenebrionidae, Diaperinae) in North Macedonia. The problem of the introduction of this non-native darkling beetle asalternative medicine is briefly discussed. Prior to this study, no data exist about the presence of U. dermestoideson the territory of the former Balkan countries as well.
