Regenerated synthetic fibres: bamboo and lyocell

This chapter discusses the sustainable approaches in the regenerated fibres such as bamboo and lyocell. The extraction process of bamboo fibres, manufacturing process and advantages to become sustainable are discussed. This chapter also covers the current research on bamboo fibres. Similarly, the sustainable approaches in manufacturing lyocell fibre have also been discussed in this chapter. Manufacturing process, properties of fibres and various applications of lyocell fibre are also been discussed in addition to its environmental impacts.
