SYT13 is one of the atypical members of the synaptotagmin (SYT) family whose function has attracted considerable attention in recent years. Although SYT13 has been studied in several types of human cancers, such as lung cancer, its role in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) is still unclear.
