PURPOSE: To observe the changes of balance ability and perceptual-attention function of subjects before and after moderate intensity aerobic exercise intervention, and to explore its influence on the compulsory isolated detoxification period of synthetic drug addicts. METHODS: Twenty male synthetic drug addicts were intervened with moderate and high intensity aerobic exercise for 24 weeks, and compared with the control group(C). The effects of exercise intervention on balance ability and perceptual-attention function were analyzed. RESULTS:1) Balance Ability: Static balance and dynamic balance of the subjects in intervention group (I) were improved significantly, the right lower limb were significantly increased in both tests of one leg standing with eyes closed(11.3 ± 10.3 vs. 34.4 ± 28.2, P < 0.001) and Star Excursion Balance Tests (SEBT)(86.42 ± 7.92 vs. 102.17 ± 13.24, P < 0.001). There were significant differences in all indexes between the two groups after intervention(one leg standing with eyes closed:14.3 ± 3.3 vs. 34.4 ± 28.2, P < 0.01; SEBT-L: 87.35 ± 11.07 vs. 103.99 ± 12.99, P < 0.01; SEBT-R: 86.88 ± 11.92 vs. 102.17 ± 13.24, P < 0.01). In control group, SEBT in the left lower limb decreased significantly after intervention (93.33 ± 5.32 vs. 87.35 ± 11.07, P < 0.01). 2) Perception-Attention Function: The subjects in both groups were improved their Core Attention(C: 1.84 ± 0.61 vs. 2.07 ± 0.43, P < 0.05; I:1.97 ± 0.52 vs. 2.53 ± 0.75, P < 0.001), and the improvement of intervention group was more obvious; Compared with control group, Dynamic Attention and Attention Distribute of the intervention group were significantly improved after intervention (Dynamic:2.25 ± 0.43 vs. 1.79 ± 0.48, P < 0.05; Distribute: 2.57 ± 0.62 vs.1.88 ± 0.73, P < 0.05 );meanwhile, Selective Attention between two groups was extremely significant (1.85 ± 0.54 vs. 1.33 ± 0.46, P < 0.01). CONCLUSIONS: 24 weeks moderate aerobic exercise intervention can effectively improve the balance quality of synthetic drug addicts in the compulsory isolated detoxification period of synthetic drug addicts, and has a positive effect on the perception-attention function.
