Tracheal Bronchus With Delayed Pleural Fistula After Pneumonectomy Managed With Eloesser Flap

ABSTRACT

Bronchopleural fistula (BPF) typically occurs in the weeks following lobectomy or pneumonectomy; rarely occurring years after surgery. Management of BPF can be challenging, especially when presenting in a delayed fashion. Here we present a case of asymptomatic BPF and pleurocutaneous fistula with remote history of right pneumonectomy and unusual anatomy.
