摘要
To broaden the application fields of phosphors, multicolor light-emitting phosphors are considered to be a future trend. In this study, multicolor light emission was successfully achieved in Bi 3+ -activated Lu 3 Sc 2 Ga 3 O 12 (LSGO), which can emit a narrow-band blue light with a full width at half maximum (FWHM) of 42 nm or a broad-band cyan light. Significantly, the emitted light from LSGO: Bi 3+ changed from cyan to blue light with an increase in the excitation wavelength. Moreover, differences in temperature-related photoluminescence properties between the blue and cyan light were detected, indicating the potential application of Bi 3+ -activated LSGO in temperature sensors. The origin of the two emission bands was examined in detail by analyzing the crystal and electronic structures of LSGO. The results indicate that two different luminescent centers exist in LSGO: Bi 3+ , which means the as-prepared sample could have broad applications in many fields. The multicolor light-emission has been realized in Bi 3+ -activated Lu 3 Sc 2 Ga 3 O 12 .
