摘要
The effective production and application of materials with circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) has emerged as a cutting-edge field of research in a number of areas. Researchers should prioritize establishing a high luminescence dissymmetry factor (glum) and optimizing the optical performance of CPL to meet the needs of practical applications in a wide range of domains. This has led to the foundation of a vast array of new CPL resources and ways to address these important issues. Here, we offer a concise summary of current advancements in the study, development, and application of circularly polarized luminous materials. The numerous methods used to characterize and quantify circularly polarized light, such as circularly polarized luminescence and circular dichroism, are described logically. Secondly, we will discuss the environmental conditions that can influence CPL activity, including temperature, time, pH, solvents, mechanical force, and metal ions. In addition, we present a brief summary of how CPL-active materials have been utilized in several sectors, including organic LEDs, probes and sensors, CPL contrast imaging, and photodetectors. Lastly, this new field's current potential and challenges are evaluated. This review is intended to serve as a guide for anyone seeking to design high-quality CPL-active materials.
