Factors associated with time to surgical treatment for dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans

To the Editor: Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP) is an infiltrative, locally aggressive cutaneous malignancy with high local recurrence rates and often extensive local invasion. Early treatment of DFSP may play a role in minimizing its associated morbidity.1 However, little is known regarding predictors of time to treatment for DFSP. Our objective is to investigate factors associated with time from diagnosis to definitive surgical treatment (TTDS) for patients with DFSP.
