Review of Feature Extraction for Plant Leaf Based on Image Processing

The category and growth status could be revealed of plant after feature analysis for plant leaf, which is significant to plant research and production guidance for agriculture and forestry. Traditional methods of feature extraction are almost conducted by hand and have low efficiency. Image processing technology may be used as an effective tool to extract leaf feature automatically. In this paper a review is conducted of research on plant leaf feature extraction based on image processing and some advice is presented.
