摘要
Reproduction is the basic life activity for insects maintaining population breeding,while temperature is one of the most important influencing factors. Temperature deviating from normal value will affect insect development and energy metabolism, which will lead to reproductive abnormalities in physiology including oviposition reducing, incubation decreasing, sex ratio shift, and physiological changes in pre- oviposition period. The possible biochemical and molecular mechanisms of temperature on insect reproduction may be involved in sex ectohormones,juvenile hormone,ecdysing hormone,endocrine neuropeptides and heat shock proteins,but the research in this field is still in its preliminary stage,demanding for more further works. The research of effect of temperature on insect reproduction plays an important role in the pest prediction of emergence,which will provide new ideas for pest control.It also could provide prediction to the variations and density distribution of insect population in the context of Global Warming,giving a reference for the dynamic changes of the global ecosystem.
