摘要
Due to the increasingly stringent emission regulations, low-carbon/carbon-free energy has attracted more and more attention from researchers and enterprises. Ammonia has become one of the best choices to solve this problem due to its non-polluting combustion products, high energy density and cost advantages. The production cost of green ammonia has been greatly reduced with the optimization of solar power generation, wind power generation and other technologies, which has created conditions for the popularization of green ammonia. The application of green ammonia as a fuel to marine engines can achieve carbon reduction in the whole process from fuel production to ship navigation, which will play an important role in the realization of carbon neutrality. This paper firstly introduces the physical and chemical properties of ammonia fuel and the industrial chain of green ammonia from production to marine fuel. Then, the production, chemical mechanism and application of ammonia in engines are reviewed. Finally, research prospects for each research direction are put forward.
