Learn more.Copy URL Graphical Abstract Tissue Models In article number 2210034, Pooyan Makvandi, Virgilio Mattoli, and co-workers report the fabrication of tissue substitutes for ex vivo human tissues and animals. Tissue models based on hydrogel/silicon films are prepared for different applications in the biomedical sector. These customized tissue surrogates can be employed as a platform to evaluate the ability of microneedle insertion, diffusion of drugs, activity of photothermal agents, and the performance of ultrasound bioimaging.
