摘要
This paper presents a power management IC (PMIC) for mobile AMOLED display. Dual interfaces can programme three DC-DC converters, ESWIRE pin for boost converter ELVDD and dual-phase inverting buck-boost converter ELVSS, ASWIRE pin for boost converters AVDD. PMIC can be set to four modes of different output voltage range and default value. The output voltages of ELVDD and AVDD are adjustable with 50/100mV and 100us discrete steps. Five different step times of ELVSS can be programmed by ASWIRE, saving digital codes of 80%. ASWIRE pin can also programme to enable three channels fast discharge to 0V. PMIC is designed in 65nm CMOS technology, the high integration enables mobile display to be low-power, thinner, cost-effective with better power efficiency.
