摘要
As stated in Chapter 4, sodium bismuth titanate {(Bi 0.5 Na 0.5 )TiO 3 , BNT} and bismuth ferrite (BiFeO 3 ) hold promising potential for replacing lead-based piezoelectric materials represented by lead zirconate titanate {Pb(Zr, Ti)O 3 , PZT}. In particular, BNT-based ceramics show exceptional electric-induced strain properties and ample physical mechanisms, and BFO-based ones exhibit a high Curie temperature ( T c ). Thus, both material systems become two important members of lead-free piezoelectric materials. In this chapter, we introduce the recent advances of BNT- and BFO-based ceramics, focusing on electrical properties, new physical phenomena, and physical mechanisms.
