摘要
Airfoil are the key factor that plays a decisive role for maximizing the power utilization. Aim of this review paper is to deliver a literature survey on the research efforts for airfoil design optimization techniques and methods, carried out by different researchers considering the wind turbine application. This review paper reviewed the optimization methods and techniques for wind turbine airfoil performance optimization. The review consists the different methods like parameterization, CFD, Genetic Algorithms and also other researchers in the field of airfoil optimization techniques. The airfoil geometric parameters which play an important role for performance optimization, objectives and constraints for optimization and the methods adopted by various researchers for wind turbine airfoil has been considered for the close review. This paper will give a close review and guide future researchers working on airfoil optimization.
