EFFECTS of travel speed, nozzle size, and nozzle pressure on spray deposits across the swaths of a row-crop, airblast sprayer were studied. Deposition uniformity was evaluated at 0.31 and 1.22 m above ground level for 13 combinations of the variables. Effects of changes in the variables were generally not well defined, but distribution patterns at the 0.31-m height were characteristically different from those at the 1.22-m height. Computer analyses conducted to determine the width of swath overlap needed for minimum deposition variation indicated that a 10.1 m overlap would be needed for the 1.22 m deposition height, and 2.8-10.1 m for the 0.31-m height.
