摘要
A novel 60-GHz radio over fiber (RoF) system is proposed and experimentally demonstrated with 16QAM-OFDM downlink signals generated by three kinds of partial transmit sequence (PTS) segmentation methods. The 5-Gb/s 16QAM-OFDM signals are transmitted over 42 km SMF-28 and a 0.4-m wireless channel. The experimental results demonstrate that all of the PTS segmentation methods here can effectively reduce the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR). Meanwhile, the computational complexity comparison of three kinds of PTS segmentation methods is accomplished. The results show that the interleaved segmentation provides a tradeoff between PAPR and computational complexity. Moreover, the receiver sensitivity is effectively enhanced using this method. Therefore, the interleaved segmentation is suitable for 60-GHz RoF system application.
