Tunable, Temperature‐Responsive Polynorbornenes with Side Chains Based on an Elastin Peptide Sequence

Live on: Random copolymers made by living ring-opening metathesis polymerization of norbornene monomers containing either the elastin peptide sequence -(VPGVG)- or pentaethylene glycol (see scheme; Mes=mesityl, pyr=pyridine) exhibit a lower critical solution temperature (LCST).
