Sulfur vacancy induced radical generation in ZnIn2S4 for lignin photocatalytic Cα-Cβ cleavage

The synthesized ZIS-Sv was formed by the self-assembly of 2D nanosheets. Introduction of Sv has promoted electron adsortion and ˙O 2 − generation to cleave C α –C β bond, finally. This is a cyclic indirect oxidation process.
