Interpersonal Psychotherapy for Adolescents (IPT-A): Implementing the Interpersonal Inventory and Problem Area Formulation to Treat Depression in Adolescents

The goal of this presentation is to introduce the following core techniques of Interpersonal Psychotherapy for Adolescents (IPT-A) with depression (Mufson, Dorta, Moreau, and Weissman, 2004): interpersonal inventory and problem area formulation. This Workshop is intended to provide an opportunity to gain familiarity with the core techniques and to practice implementation and application to treatment cases. IPT-A is delineated in a published treatment manual and is demonstrated to be an efficacious treatment for adolescents (Zhou et al, 2020).
