Kevin Dadaczynski: championing school health promotion

“Health promotion is an attitude; it's something you need to feel”, says Kevin Dadaczynski when he speaks to The Lancet Child & Adolescent Health. Dadaczynski is a professor in health communication and information at the Department of Health Sciences at Fulda University of Applied Sciences, in Fulda, Germany. Dadacyzynski's work is concentrated on health promotion in schools, mentored by Peter Paulus during his time at Leuphana University, Lueneburg, Germany, where he undertook his PhD and post-doc. Dadaczynski's aptitude was instantly noticeable in 2008, says Paulus lyrically: “I met a young man who was wide awake, with open eyes and a lightning-quick perception. He was courageous and showed great potential for development.”
