摘要
Abstract A unique molecular skeleton generates multiple-state emissions in the solid state at room temperature. As presented by Y.-Z. Chen, L.-Z. Wu, and co-workers in their Research Article on page 10173, large energy gaps between the S2 and S1 states, and an abundance of intramolecular/intermolecular hydrogen bonds, suppress internal conversions of the upper excited states in the solids and enable unprecedented fluorescence quantum yields (2.3–9.6 %) from the S2 states.
