Although this trial found increased efficiency in rounding in the bedside group, patient knowledge between the groups did not differ. However, patients in the bedside group experienced increased subjective confusion due to medical jargon and less time discussing sensitive information.We do not believe that these findings call for abandoning bedside rounds; instead, they highlight the importance of their proper execution.First, rounds described in Becker and colleagues' article are patient-proximate, ...References1.
