Regelski has a PhD in comparative arts/aesthetics and is emeritus distinguished professor, State University of New York, Fredonia. He is co-founder of the MayDay Group and creator and first editor of its e-journal Action, Criticism, and Theory for Music Education. In addition to 115 articles and chapters, he has published six books, most recently A Brief Introduction to A Philosophy of Music and Music Education as Social Praxis (2016).
