An anion-promoted increase of the SiO2/Al2O3 ratio of zeolites

The SiO 2 /Al 2 O 3 ratio of zeolites was improved by addition of NaI due to the promotion of I − for the formation of Si–O–Si bonds and the inhibition of I − for the formation of Si–O–Al bonds.
