Oseltamivir is the most widely used influenza antiviral in the world. However, due to the lack of strong evidence, physicians remain divided over whether patients hospitalized with complicated influenza would benefit from oseltamivir administration and, if yes, for how long after symptom onset. To establish sound recommendations, randomized, placebo-controlled trials (RCTs) are essential.
