225. NMRA-140, a Novel and Selective Kappa Opioid Receptor Antagonist: Mode of Action Profiling Studies Demonstrate No Opioid Agonist Properties Implicated in Opioid-Related Abuse

The kappa opioid receptor (KOR) system has been implicated in the pathophysiology of neurobehavioral disorders, highlighting the importance of targeting this system for therapeutic purposes. Opioid receptor (OR) agonists have known adverse effects, thus we conducted studies to confirm the lack of OR agonist activity of NMRA-140, a potent, selective, reversible KOR antagonist.
