Research progress of characterization and synthesis of benzisothiazolinone

The characterization, mechanism of sterilization and application of benzisothiazolinone are reviewed. The unique advantages of 1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one compared with the traditional product Kathon is introduced. Especially, the synthesis methods of benzisothiazolinone and the difference of each of them are discussed detailedly.
