Application of ion exchange membranes to the recovery of acids by diffusion dialysis

Abstract The optimum operating conditions for diffusion dialysis were studied for the recovery of nitric acid and hydrofluoric acid from mixed solutions containing these acids and ferric ions. Nitric acid was recovered for more than 100% and hydrofluoric acid for 50-60%. Ferric ion was eliminated for 85 to 90%.
