A fluorinated O3-type layered cathode for long-life sodium-ion batteries

The fluorination of O3-type layered Na[Ni 0.5 Mn 0.5 ]O 2 cathodes effectively mitigates destructive phase transitions and concomitant microcracking and suppresses the parasitic reaction with electrolyte.
