摘要
Krashen's theory of second language acquisition includes the following hypotheses: the acquisition-learning hypothesis, the monitoring hypothesis, the natural order hypothesis, the input hypothesis and the affective filter hypothesis.These factors are very important to effectively promote student development, increase students' confidence and reduce their anxiety, and then improve their language proficiency.But the importance of the affective filter hypothesis lies in the explanation of the human factors that limit students' performance.By introducing the emotional filter theory to these three important factors of motivation, confidence and anxiety, this paper argues that emotional factors play a very important role in facilitating and promoting non-native English learners' second language acquisition.Therefore, in college English listening teaching, it's better to combine the emotional filtering theory and traditional teaching methods to continuously improve the listening teaching methods for English majors, for example, focusing on individual students' emotions and also on the context of listening materials.
