The four molecular subtypes of endometrial carcinoma (EC) identified by The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) [1] differ with respect to risk factors, precursor lesions, usual stage at presentation, prognosis, molecular pathology, and response to treatment. Clinically applicable methods have replaced original high cost/resource TCGA approach, enabling expanded implementation of molecular classification and recommendation by the World Health Organization (WHO) to integrate molecular features, where available, into pathological reporting since 2020.
