Chemical Modulation of AIREIIICIVQVI4 Family Compounds for Band Gap and Optical Anisotropy Enhancement

By introducing [AgS 3 ] and [NaQ 6 ] (Q = S, Se) into the A I RE III C IV QVI4 family, four new RE-based chalcogenides with wide band gaps and large birefringence have been rationally designed and fabricated.
