Choriocarcinoma masquerading as pulmonary embolism in a patient with a history of tuberculosis

A 25-year-old woman was referred to the emergency department of the West China Hospital of Sichuan University (Chengdu, China) with chest pain and haemoptysis in April, 2021. She was cured of pulmonary tuberculosis in 2016. Before the referral, suspecting pneumonia, the local physician prescribed antibiotics, which did not improve symptoms.
