摘要
This chapter provides a basic introduction to the luminescence characteristics of lanthanide-doped nanoparticles and the design principles for optical bioprobes. Emphasis is placed on the interface energy transfer process, which enables the transduction of biological signals into optical signals. The design, synthesis, and surface functionalization of lanthanide-doped nanoparticles are summarized, offering a general method for bioprobe preparation. A detailed review of bioprobes for various applications is also presented. This section aims to showcase state-of-the-art biosensing and biodetection technologies and summarize the methodology of bioprobe design. The final part introduces integrated devices of bioprobes, providing a blueprint for future point-of-care testing.
