摘要
We would like to provide an update on the frequently cited 2022 review of "The changing landscape of pediatric lung transplantation."1 A reduction was described in lung transplantation (LTX) occurring for children with cystic fibrosis (CF) in the United States and also worldwide.1-3 The most notable attrition in pediatric LTX for CF was in 2020 at the height of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Increasing proportions of pulmonary hypertension-related indications and childhood interstitial lung diseases (ILDs) requiring LTX were also noted. With data previously only available through September 2021, it was unclear at the time of publication if this shift would continue post pandemic. Here, we report updates on the new landscape of pediatric LTX in the United States.
