摘要
The design and characterization of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have gained much attention due to their large variety of aesthetically fascinating structures that trigger various applications in many fields such as biological, material, and chemical sciences. The MOFs are also a subclass of coordination polymers which may be classified into one-dimensional, two-dimensional, and three-dimensional coordination polymers depending on the size and topology. This chapter summarizes various synthetic processes by which MOFs can be skillfully designed concerning their typology and morphology. Understanding the topological and morphological parameters of the MOFs will be initiated in a new era for their real-life applications. This chapter will help understand developing various MOFs and composite materials to improve properties for target applications.
