Recent Advances in the Blending Modification of Poly(propylene carbonate)

Poly(propylene carbonate)(PPC),a new kind of aliphatic polycarbonate,has attracted much attention owing to its good properties,such as biocompatibility,biodegradability and abnormally low permeability toward oxygen.However,its high cost,poor thermal performance and mechanical properties,hinder its commercial application on a large scale.Blending modification is an effective way to improve the performance of PPC,therefore,the recent progress in blending modification of PPC with synthetic polymers,natural polymers,inorganic particles and organic compounds are reviewed.
