Preparation and Properties of Polyurea Compliant Coating for Drag-Reducing

Based on the technology of the spray polyurea elastomer(SPUA),a new polyurea compliant coating synthesis method for drag-reducing and noise-reducing technique was applied.The system consists of the A component,a quasi-prepolymer 13%~14% of free NCO,and the B component,a mixture of polyetheramine,amine extenders and other additives.The features of the new material:(1) high adhesion and impact resistance;(2) low modulus and high elongation;(3) seamless,flexible.The sample of SPUA compliant skin were tested repeatedly in a cyclic water tank.Several samples of drag-reducing 6%~7% have been obtained in 3 m/s~10 m/s.
