摘要
Nano-modified composite coatings have illustrated a promising prospect for protecting cement-based material due to their excellent functional properties. This paper reviews the theoretical research and application progress of nanomaterial modification in the field of cement-based protective coatings in recent years, mainly at the two primary levels of fabrication procedure and functional regulation. By comparing the findings of the various functions of nano-modified coatings, the mechanisms inherent in nanomaterials affecting the physical and chemical properties of coating substrates are analyzed. Furthermore, this paper provides a comprehensive review of the existing shortages and challenges of nanomaterial-modified coatings for cement-based materials, clarifies the theoretical and technical issues that need to be addressed, and proposes the future development trends and potential directions. This review provides academic and technical guidance for the synthesis of high-performance and multifunctional protective coatings for cement-based materials while creating new ideas for improving the durability and functionality of concrete.
