Effect of needle warming moxibustion on cancer chemotherapy-induced toxicity and side effect

Objective To investigate the effect of needle warming moxibustion on cancer chemotherapy-induced toxicity and side effect.Methods 40 patients with malignant tumor were randomly divided into 2 groups,2 groups selected different chemotherapy according to regimens disease.20 patients in control group received western medicine treatment.20 cases in the treatment group received needle warming moxibustion on the basis of treatment of the control group.2 groups were treated after the start of chemotherapy.Clinical effect was counted after chemotherapy statistical.The changes of symptoms score,Karnofaky score,Hgb,WBC,the percentage of neutrophils and PLT were observed.Results Gastrointestinal reactions and general state score after treatment was significantly decreased in comparison with those before treatment in treatment group(P0.05),and compared with the control group after treatment there was significant difference(P0.05).There was no significant change on symptom score after treatment in control group(P0.05).Karnofaky score,PLT in control group significantly decreased after treatment(P0.05),while there was no significant change in the treatment group(P0.05).Conclusion Needle warming moxibustion can effectively prevent and treat toxicity and side effect induced by cancer chemotherapy,reduce patient suffering,improve patient quality of life,has obvious clinical efficacy,low cost and the operation method is simple.
