Butyl Acetals from Medicinal Plant, Winchia calophylla (Apocynaceae)

Three new compounds, butyl winchal, butyl isowinchal and ethyl winchal along with three known compounds, butyl β-D-glucofuranoside, butyl β-D-glucopyranoside and butyl α-D-glucopyranoside, were isolated from the stem barks of Winchia calophylla dealt with hydrochloric acid and aqueous ammonia. Their structures were established by spectroscopic methods, especially 2D NMR data. They are probably artificial products.
