摘要
Bacterial infection is a worldwide issue seriously threatening human health. Construction of a multifunctional system with effective and synergistic antimicrobial therapy is an appealing yet significantly challenging task. Herein, we develop a smart light-responsive drug-delivery hybrid hydrogel, namely, TMH@Gel, with near-infrared-II (NIR-II) absorbing function, high photothermal conversion, and efficient chemodynamic capability. Antimicrobial evaluations demonstrate that TMH@Gel exhibits excellent antibacterial efficiency toward both Gram-negative and -positive bacteria upon NIR-II light irradiation, by means of synergistic photothermal–chemodynamic treatment. Moreover, the explored protocol can significantly accelerate the bacteria-infected wound healing process, strongly suggesting the prominent antibacterial performance. Furthermore, the good biocompatibility of TMH@Gel is verified by hemolysis assay and live/dead cell staining tests.
