摘要
Cyclohexene, a hydrocarbon, is usually obtained from the hydrogenation of benzene and used as an industrial intermediate chemical in the manufacture of tetrahydrobenzoic acid, adipic acid, and malic acid and also in the extortion of oil. Cyclohexene is found in the form of vapors in the environment and released as waste streams from the manufacturing units. Cyclohexene exposure is expected through inhalation and dermal contact in the workplace where cyclohexene is either produced or employed as an intermediate chemical. It has irritating effects on the skin after contact and depressant effects on the central nervous system (CNS) after exposure through inhalation. Chronic exposure to cyclohexene causes disturbances in the alkaline phosphatase level. It is suspected to develop pulmonary damage, CNS depression, and pneumatocele formation in humans after chronic exposure. After inhaling cyclohexene, the patient should be removed from exposure site. Oxygen and artificial respiration may be provided if the patient is not breathing. In case of dermal contact, washing the skin with soap is necessary.
