[Misconceptions in diagnosis and treatment of papilledema caused by idiopathic intracranial hypertension].

Papilledema refers to the swelling of the optic disk due to increased intracranial pressure. In clinical practice, papilledema is often confused with optic disc edema. Idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH) is a major cause of papilledema and there are still misconceptions about the etiology of IIH, the classification and examination of papilledema, and the treatment of IIH.
