In their Personal View, Emma Sweeney and colleagues suggested that detecting wild-type ParC Ser83 sequence and the Ser83Ile mutation could instruct the clinical use of fluoroquinolone in Mycoplasma genitalium infection.1 However, some issues in the Personal View require further discussion.
