摘要
Prussian blue analogues (PBAs) have recently been considered an emerging functional material for electrochemical energy storage devices. PBA-based derived materials have more attention than pristine PBAs due to the view on the two main drawbacks, i.e., stability and low conductivity issues. Herein, we discussed the developments and current uses of PBAs and PBAs-based derived materials in the field of electrochemical energy storage, the emerging trends in developing PBAs and PBAs-based derived materials as anode materials for rechargeable batteries and electrodes for supercapacitors. It has been realized that the applications of PBAs and PBAs-based derived materials as anode for rechargeable batteries will show tremendous progress by controlling the materials' composition, morphology, and structure at the nanoscale. Lastly, the scientific challenges in this research area, their solutions, and the future perspectives have been elucidated to provide a new research idea for developing novel electrodes for electrochemical energy storage devices.
