Surface Plasmon Polariton (SPP) modes in a magnetically tunable metal slot waveguide structure were studied in voigt configuration. The Method of Lines (MoLs) algorithm was used to compute the dispersion relation . Both symmetric and antisymmetric modes are nonreciprocal with structural and material anisotropy , and biasing magnetic field. The propagation loss can be controlled by reducing the slot width and dielectric thickness, to make it suitable for sensing and switching applications. • Studied the SPP modes along coupled metal slots-on-dielectric/semiconductor platform. • These modes are magnetically tunable. • To simulate and analyze the structure, the Method of Lines formalism is used. • The mode dispersion strongly depends on the doping concentration and biasing field. • The proposed structure enables non-reciprocal applications in integrated optics.
