A relativistic quantum field theory of finite nuclei

A relativistic field theory of nuclear matter is applied to finite nuclei in the mean-field Thomas-Fermi approximation Meson masses determine the surface properties. The form factor and spin-orbit interaction are calculated for B = 40. Quantum corrections are investigated.
